The kids and I are up early this morning… we’ve been out looking for meteors.
The Aurigid meteor shower to be exact.

We saw about six meteors flash by before 6:20 CST. After that, we stayed on our blanket looking up at the sky for another 20 minutes or so, but saw no more meteors.
DS was worried that the neighbors would think we are crazy if they saw us laying on a blanket at the end of our driveway, looking up at the sky. I told him that they probably already think we’re crazy and that this will only confirm it. 14yr old DD went inside after we saw the first six meteors and then no more for five minutes. 11yr old DD stuck it out with me until I came back inside, along with the stray cat that has decided to adopt us. His name is Fred because we have already had a cat named George – and those are the names of the Weasley twins in the Harry Potter series.
