I received the email below this afternoon and was happy that I never bought any of the “toning” shoes. Did you buy them? Go to the Federal Trade Commission’s page for Skechers Refunds for additional information.

Subject: Refunds Available for Skechers Toning ShoesThe Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency, charged Skechers with making unfounded claims that its Shape-ups and other “toning shoes” would help people lose weight and tone their buttocks, legs, and abdominal muscles.
To settle the case, Skechers USA has agreed to pay $40 million to provide refunds to people who bought Skechers toning shoes.

This puppy, that we thought wasn’t going to be much bigger than a Chihuahua (since his mother is a Chihuahua) has gotten quite big! When I look back at this picture from the first couple of days that we had him
and compare the size he was then to the size he is in this photo I took a few minutes ago, the difference is amazing!
PS. Can you tell which photo was taken with my good camera and which was taken with my phone?
If I ever wanted to describe the people in my life by choosing a book to represent their personality, this book or one similar to it would be what I picked for my mom.
She writes the most beautiful notes that always express eloquently what she’s feeling. It’s a great joy to find a note from her in the mailbox and I treasure each one.
